Graham Sparrow

For Graham Sparrow, owner and operator of Edmonton’s Sparrow Organics, farming is as much about environmental stewardship as it is about growing food. According to Graham, his role as an organic farmer is to cultivate a balance between growing plants and nurturing the soil. “That’s really the difference between organic and conventional farming. Conventional methods grow plants at the expense of the soil, while the focus with organic is actually to take care of the soil so that it can grow plants.”
